Privacy Policy

THE SHORT VERSION

Krillionaire is run by Invested Inc (“we”). You don’t need an account to play. We collect what we need to score your game, improve the answer lists and keep the game running. We don’t sell your personal information.

WHAT WE COLLECT

A random player ID

The first time you play, your browser makes a random player ID and keeps it in local storage. It is not your name or email. It lets us connect your answers and scores to one player without an account.

The answers you type

Every answer you type is sent to our server to be judged, including wrong ones. We log it with your player ID. We use these logs to score your game, to count how many players chose each answer, and to find valid answers that are missing from our lists.

Your finished scores

When you finish a game, we store your score with your player ID. We use it to show how your score compares to other players (“better than N% of today’s players”).

Things you send us

If you suggest an answer, report a missing one, or send a rating or a note, we store it with your player ID. If you email us, we keep your email so we can reply.

Usage and error data

We use PostHog for analytics. It records events such as a game started or finished, which pages you visit, and errors in the app, along with basic device and browser details. PostHog keeps its own random ID in your browser to group these events.

IP addresses

Our hosting providers see your IP address when your browser connects, as every website does. We may use it to limit request rates and to prevent abuse.

WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

Your settings (such as sound on or off), your streaks and your game history are kept only in your browser. We don’t receive them. Clearing your browser data deletes them.

WHO ELSE HANDLES YOUR DATA

We use these service providers to run the game. They process data for us, under their own terms:

• Vercel hosts the website and the server.
• Neon hosts our database, in the United States.
• PostHog provides analytics and error tracking.

We don’t sell your personal information. We may share information if the law requires it, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.

ADVERTISING

There are no ads in Krillionaire today. If we add advertising, or change how we use your data, we will update this page first.

CHILDREN

Krillionaire is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child under 13 has used the game, email us and we will delete the data.

DELETING YOUR DATA

To ask us to delete the data stored with your player ID, email quincy@invested.inc. We will explain how to find your player ID. You can delete what is stored on your device at any time by clearing your browser data for this site.

CHANGES AND CONTACT
